New Delhi, August 27, 2013- CAT (Common Admission Test) is an all-India test conducted by the IIMs (Indian Institutes of Management) as an entrance exam for admission to the Post-graduate and Fellow Programs in management courses of various management institutes in India along with the IIMs. Based on the CAT 2013 cut off marks, the students will be shortlisted by IIMs along with other participating B-schools. The shortlisted candidates will then have to appear for the GD (Group Discussion), PI (Personal Interview) and WAT (Written Ability Test) rounds conducted by the B-schools separately. Since the last two years, the 6 new IIMs of India, IIM Rohtak, Raipur, Ranchi, Kashipur, Udaipur and Trichy are conducting CAP (Common Admission Process) or the final admission. This year, IIM Indore will undertake all the tasks of conducting CAT exam. Applicants can purchase the voucher from July 29, 2013 and also the last date to purchase voucher is September 24, 2013. Candidates can also buy voucher on the internet, the sale started from the same day, but it will close on September 26, 2013. In 2012, almost 2.05 lakh applicants had registered for CAT entrance exam.
